What medical technology or device does this treatment utilise and how it is done?
The Nose Filler procedure is done by injecting Hyaluronic Acid Filler / Dermal Filler into the desired spot underneath the skin of the nose to contour and enhance the nose shape.
Hyaluronic Acid is a naturally occurring component found in the skin, eye and cartilage. Approximately half of human body’s natural occurring hyaluronic acid is found in the skin, and as such is biocompatible and biodegradable (absorbable) by the human body.
Hyaluronic acid has many roles, a major function is the binding of water, and it is this water binding function which determines skin viscoelasticity, hydration, structure and firmness.
As skin ages, natural dermal hyaluronic acid found in the skin decreases and results in reduced elasticity, volume loss, and the development of rhytids (wrinkles) and other aging features.
Apart from giving volume, contouring and giving the nose a higher, sharper, more refined & defined profile, the injection of dermal filler into the skin can also improve hydration, elasticity, structure, and firmness of treated skin.
Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers are thus very suitable used for three-dimensional facial contouring (including the nose), and reflation of the face.
Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers can correct volume loss and address static wrinkles (rhytids). It had also been successfully used for facial features contouring and correction and can be combined with the use of Btx for correcting dynamic wrinkles (rhytids).
What are the likely results? Any side effects or downtime?
The effects of the Nose Filler treatment are usually visible right after the treatment and patients can return to their normal activities on the same day.
Because hyaluronic acid is the same in all species, adverse reaction and bodily rejection after injection is unlikely to occur.
Some bruising, mild swelling and redness may occur.

The Nose Filler procedure has synergy with and may be done in conjunction with the Nose Threadlift procedure.
