Face Threadlift - Lower Face / Brow

What can this treatment possibly do?
The lower face threadlift is able to achieve improvement of the facial jowls (including jawline) with mild to moderate sagging without surgery through the insertion of barbed PDO threads underneath the facial skin to lift and tighten the facial skin. In simple terms, it is also known as the non-surgical face threadlift.
What medical technology or device does this treatment utilise and how it is done?
This treatment uses absorbable barbed PDO suture threads. These PDO barbed threads are inserted underneath the facial skin to tighten and lift saggy skin upwards.
The barbed threads which are inserted are fixed by being hooked to the facial tissues underneath the skin. This produces an anti-tension effect which prevents the tissues and thus facial skin from moving apart again.
Barbed PDO threads generally stay in place for nearly 6 months before eventually degrading into carbon dioxide and water. During this time, there is usually an increase in collagen and elastin concentration in the skin – which may allow the effects to last longer.
While the physical lifting capacity of the PDO threads itself is diminished as it is absorbed by the body, the complementary collagen- stimulating properties within the PDO threads may permit a sustained recontouring of the treated areas for approximately 18 to 24 months following placement.
What are the likely results? Any side effects or downtime?
The lower face threadlift presents an effective non-surgical approach which can reposition saggy tissue and tighten those facial features susceptible to sagging.
Advantages of the PDO Face Threadlift include minimal invasiveness, short downtime, and nearly invisible scarring. Results are usually evident right after the procedure.
Some bruising, bleeding and mild swelling may occur. Thread extrusion may also occur, which can be solved by pulling and removing the thread out of the skin.
This treatment has synergy and can be combined with?
The hallmarks of facial adding include diminished skin tone, increasingly uneven texture of skin , appearance of wrinkles, volume loss, and saggy skin facial features. Increasing skin laxity caused by a reduction in the supportive capacity of collagen and dwindling levels of elastin.
While dermal facial fillers are a non-invasive method to restore volume and support overlying facial tissues, they are not designed to reposition facial tissue, and their theoretical capacity for lifting is limited. Threadlifts can come in to recontour, lift and reposition the facial skin.
Indeed, dermal facial Fillers are often used to supplement the results achieved by Face Threadlift; often, when facial tissue has been lifted by the Face Threadlift procedure, volume deficits are revealed, which can be corrected with a variety of facial dermal fillers.
The general rule is that dermal facial Fillers give volume and addresses volume loss; whilst threadlift tighten and lifts saggy skin upwards.
