Nose Thread Lift
For an immediately Higher Nose Bridge & Nose Tip
What can Nose Thread Lift do for you?

Want to have a higher, straighter and more defined nose without invasive nose implant surgery or the concerns of filler augmentation? Nose Threadlift may be the answer. At Tiffiny Yang's, our Nose Threadlift can improve your nose contours and also enhance the shape and height of your nose without surgery. The Nose Threadlift procedure is a very popular procedure in Korea and Japan.
It is commonly known as the “lunch-time” nose lift.* The procedure is specially targeted at giving you a straighter, higher and more defined nose bridge or nose tip. In addition, Nose Threadlift can also lift your nose tip and make it appear smaller and sharper.

It is a myth that the only way to have a higher, more defined nose is to undergo an invasive nose implant surgery. The reality is that apart from Nose Fillers, the Nose Threadlift procedure, a non-surgical and minimally invasive procedure with almost no down time, can also help you obtain a higher and more defined nose and nose tip.
For those who are also concerned about the risks of filler treatment such as spread, migration or lump formation, the Nose Threadlift provides a good alternative to enhancing the features of the nose without the attending risks of filler treatments.

Generally, the results produced by Nose Threadlift procedure are:

-
Lifting of the nose tip to make it sharper and smaller;
-
Straighter nose profile;
-
Greater definition of the nose bridge; and
-
Higher nose bridge.
What is Nose Threadlift and how does it work?

The threads used for the Nose Threadlift procedure are called PDO (polydixanone) threads. The PDO threads have been scientifically proven to be fully absorbed by the body after some time. As the PDO threads dissolve over time, they create new collagen, and tissue fibroblasts in the skin, which results in tighter skin, hence enhancing the nose’s definition and contour.

In addition, once inserted, the nose threads act as a scaffolding structure which immediately helps to contour, give definition, sharpen, lift and or shape the nose as desired without surgery.

If you want to have a higher and straighter nose without invasive nose implant surgery, Nose Threadlift may be your answer. At Tiffiny Yang Aesthetics & Surgery, our Nose Threadlift can improve your nose contours and also enhance the shape and height of your nose without surgery.

In addition, you may also reduce big or wide nose tip with a combination of Filler augmentation and Threadlift reduction of the nose tip. Filler can be used to enhance the nasal column so that the tip is lifted. Threads can also be used to reduce the width of your nose as well as lift the tip forward. Overall, the nose tip will immediately look visibly much sharper and smaller with this latest combination treatment. Pain is tolerable with nose threadlift and minimal with nose filler.

Why at Tiffiny Yang's Aesthetics Clinic?

Apart from the doctor’s skill, the results of a Nose Threadlift procedure is also much dependent on the type of threads used. Tiffiny Yang Aesthetics & Surgery carries a comprehensive range of the most suitable screw cog nose threads from Korea.

A lot of threads currently in used in the past are short and smooth mono threads, which gives no or minimal results because they are too thin and smooth and therefore are unable to provide sufficient scaffolding to lift the nose sufficiently. On the other hand, threads that are too thick are more likely to cause scarring.

On the other hand, the screw cog nose threads used exclusively at Tiffiny Yang Aesthetics & Surgery are different from ineffective mono threads because the screw cog nose threads are peppered with cogs, maximizing the scaffolding, lifting, and contouring effect of the nose.

On top of that, we carry a range of different lengths and sizes of nose threads so we are able to select the most suitable length and size according to your nose type, to achieve your desired effect. Such expert selection requires our expert eye and the experience of having done many of such treatments. Not every size and every length is suitable for every type of nose; using a standard length and size potentially leads to either complications or insufficient results!

The procedure is completed in only 1 treatment session.

Possible Side Effects

The nose threadlift procedure carries slightly different risks compared to nose filler treatment.
1. Thread extrusion - unsuitable thread length may be a reason for extrusion where the thread pokes out of the skin at the entry point. These threads may be removed or cut off or concealed with a little filler.
2. Scar on the nose tip - can be a problem in individuals who tend to have poor healing of skin, smokers or overly thick needle used during the procedure. Some laser treatment may improve the scar.

3. Infection is less common except with thread extrusion - it can be easily avoided with a sterile procedure and avoiding over-manipulation of the threads after the procedure.
Problems that may occur can be resolved during a follow up review visit. It is important to attend a follow up review in 2 weeks' time.
You may also consider Nose Filler augmentation as an alternative option to Nose Threadlift. Read more about it here.

Frequently Asked Questions on Nose Threadlift

How long does the Nose Threadlift last?

The results of the Nose Threadlift generally last from 1 to 2 years.

There is a partial effect that is semi-permanent. This is because the Nose Threadlift creates new collagen within the skin that remains even after the threads dissolve as time goes by. That neocollagenesis effect lasts as a semi-permanent effect, especially after one or two top ups.

For best results, 1 repeat treatment at 6 to 12 months is highly recommended.

As the number and type of threads required for optimal results depends greatly from one individual to the other, the optimal number and type of threads will be advised by our doctors during consultation and procedure.

The risk for infection with any implantation procedure is present, albeit low. Care with sterility during the procedure is of utmost importance to avoid infection, as well as after care – please do not apply makeup or facial products on the treated area until at least 3 hours after the procedure.*

As compared to Nose Filler, migration or broadening is far less common and risk of lumps almost nil. Some discomfort is expected for the following week, just like in a Nose Filler, but it mostly resolves within a fortnight.

Does the type of Nose Threads used matter?

It certainly does!* Apart from our Doctor’s impeccable skill, the results of a Nose Threadlift procedure is also much dependent on the type of threads used.

A lot of threads used in the past are short and smooth mono threads, which gives no or minimal results because they are too thin and smooth and therefore are unable to provide sufficient scaffolding to lift the nose sufficiently.
Why do some Nose Threadlift not give sufficient result?

Short thin threads do not give a good result, if at all, and you may very well be wasting your time and money. Threads that are too thick can leave a scar at the injection point. Threads with the correct type of cog gives the best lift and effect for the nose bridge and tip. One must choose wisely. ;)*

If you have attempted Nose Threadlift before but does not think the results good at all, it is likely due to any of the below*:

1. Wrong type of Nose Threads used such as the wrong thickness or length

2. Wrong number of Nose Threads placed

3. Wrong technique of placement of Nose Threads to maximize its potential lifting effect.
The right thickness and length, the presence of cogs and sufficient number of threads are all essential to an effective nose threadlift. Otherwise, the procedure only acts to firm up the skin of the nose, rather than give a lifting effect.*

We carry a range of screw cog nose threads that vary in thickness and length, therefore we are able to select and tailor the type and length of nose threads to your nose type, maximizing the scaffolding, lifting, and contouring effect of the nose, whether you are only looking for a little more definition or a complete dramatic change!*

Is the Nose Threadlift procedure suitable for men too?

Nose Threadlift is a very good option for nose augmentation in men, especially in conjunction with Nose Filler, to give a high and defined result.* As males tend to be bigger in build, the number, length and thickness of threads required is usually more, as compared to an average female.*

At Tiffiny Yang's, this procedure has been done for both men and women with good result of nose bridge lifting and nose tip sharpening.*

How many sessions are required to achieve a good result?

Only one session is usually required. The results are dependent on the type and number and length of threads used rather than on the number of sessions, as long as right choice of threads is used.*

Which to choose: Nose Filler or Nose Threadlift?

This depends very much on your objective and desired nose appearance. For nose bridge height adjustment, filler is still the better option; whereas for creating definition and contouring, threadlift is the choice.

Better still, combine both the nose filler with the nose threadlift for a full and complete nose makeover – if dramatic is what you are looking for. Results of combination therapy may not be lesser than implant rhinoplasties and yet reversible.
